Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, I’ve been a believer in people since I first started volunteering at 15. I’m 35 now, and activism, creativity, and storytelling have shaped my life ever since. We have to choose to be part of the world. I was always aware of that. Still am.

I began my career in advertising while studying at the University of Bucharest, earning degrees from the Faculty of History and the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, including a master’s in microhistory. At 22, I won my first international award, Young Drummers @Golden Drum, ranking among the top five creatives under 30 in Central and Eastern Europe.

Writer, Activist & Creative Director

At 23, I was a grassroots activist against the Roșia Montană cyanide mining project. We won. The exploitation never happened. I launched my own creative gig at 24, designing witty, pun-filled T-shirts for Dume de Mestecat, and at 27, I graduated first in my Digital Strategy module, earning the highest grade in its history. I engaged in narrative journalism for Romanian magazines such as Decât o Revistă, published fiction in Revista de Povestiri and participated in an anthology on feminism - “Ea. Perspective feministe asupra societății românești” [She. Feminist perspectives on Romanian society], Curtea Veche Publishing House, 2018.

When treated unfairly, I left a secure job to forge my own creative entrepreneurship endeavour. I was 28. At 30, I became an Associate Lecturer, teaching Digital Writing at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (SNSPA, Bucharest). My students granted me the greatest honour of all by choosing me to deliver their graduation speech. At 31, I published my first book, I Can’t Find You Anywhere, a memoir that became a bestseller. It won the Honorary Award for Best Nonfiction Book at the Superscrieri Gala in 2022.

Last year, I returned to advertising as a Creative Director for v8. Still trying to balance my love for creativity with leading and inspiring teams.

I believe that the world is always a little ours when we fight, create, and care. And I plan on doing that for the rest of my life.
